After completing keyword analysis, consistent copywriting, search engine optimization, link building and other work, we broke through in a highly competitive environment on vital keywords for the business, such as “Laser Cutting” and ranked 2nd in search! I’m sure you know what that means. Thousands saved per month that would have been spent on advertising, but most importantly a steady stream of new business without any additional investment!
As it happens, many companies nowadays do not have good (and sometimes even no!) coverage of communication channels on the Internet. This doesn’t just mean being on Facebook, but also covering other important things that customers can find them through (SEO, web directories, link building or PPC). With a metalworking company – Toro Tech s.r.o. it was similar in the past.
Until we got a call from the company’s sales director and managing director, Mr Moses. At that time, the company had customers mostly from the Pilsen region, where the plant is located. Since they only had a one-page web presence on the internet, no one could come across them. Mr. Moses, however, correctly sensed the potential that was hidden in the online world, so we agreed to cooperate.
And so we got to it. We learned about the company culture, its services and mapped out the competition. It was obvious that compared to everyone else, the company was way behind on the Internet. However, in reality (that is, in the shop) they were ready for orders of significant size. By mapping the competition, we could clearly see their shortcomings and found that with time and persistent diligence, we could beat them. Which in many ways we have already done, but we will not get ahead of ourselves.
Knowing how people search for products and services on the Internet is essential. That is, what words they type into search engines. Therefore, we have made an analysis of keyword searches in the field of metalworking.
Thanks to this, we knew what all needed to be tweaked on the website text-wise to make it appear to as many people as possible, and we started creating salesy yet trackable texts.
While writing, we designed a modern and simple web design relevant to the current logo and gradually started to fill it with content.
In order to stand out a bit more among the competition, we agreed to create a presentation video. So my colleague went on a trip to Zruč near Pilsen with his camera and came back with a nice piece of almost artistic work.
The pieces of the work began to fall into place like the wheels of an engine that was about to embark on a thrilling ride with incredible speed. After a few weeks the website was ready and the company suddenly started to look completely new. Now it was important to make the most of the site’s potential, because without the involvement of other communication channels, the site would still be like a shop in the desert.
The website gradually started to appear in search engines for many search queries where it had not been before. However, the journey in SEO (search engine optimization) is quite complex and takes time to optimize the technical side of the site, create a sufficiently robust database of relevant backlinks and other things. And finally, you need to continuously add new content.
In the meantime, we have started with search advertising (SEM). It should be added that before our intervention, the client had already run an ad on Google Ads called Smart Campaign. While this feature has a great name, it doesn’t deliver such great results anymore. In short, after we adjusted the ad according to our analysis and added sales ad copy, the success rate increased in such a way that Toro Tech’s and our hearts leapt for joy. Not only were we able to triple our monthly costs for the same number of clicks, but more importantly, the rate of service inquiries skyrocketed!
Last but not least, we have also programmed an order calculator for metal cuttings prices. Although it doesn’t look like it at first glance, behind the calculations there is a rather large series of interconnected formulas. The calculator now saves a ton of time with calculations and pricing, which now allows the company to be in profit on even the smallest orders!
We soon gained the confidence and courage to expand beyond our borders. We translated the website into two other languages and set up search advertising for the relatively close area of Austria and Germany. This action occurred just at the beginning of the coronavirus crisis and even with the stalled economy and the differences in cultures, business flourished like trees on May Day.
It didn’t take long for a phone call to come from the director, who was obviously having a second Christmas while the whole country was terrified of the crisis. This is what it looks like when an agency has the space to do a complete online marketing solution with all the trimmings. Nothing makes us happier than when a website bears good fruit.
Anyway, the work is not over yet. Even though the website appears on the first pages of organic search for some relevant keywords and Google Ads brings great results, there is still room for growth.
Our competitors still have a head start in this area, but we are confident that we can overtake them. Next up is PR, where we have great terms with a number of Czech publishers and we have a lot of aces up our sleeve.
Although we have been in contact with the CEO of Toro Tech for over 5 years, we have not yet met in person. In short, these days you can do things like skyrocket business growth online.
